Making Our Camps Covid-19 Secure

We were devastated to have to postpone our 2020 camps and exchanges but we’re super excited to announce that our 2021 camps are now on sale. We would like to thank everyone for being so supportive and understanding over the past year, the kind messages we received and understanding was hugely appreciated. The GSE team really missed everyone last summer and we can’t wait to welcome you back next year.

COVID SAFETY ON CAMP

The welfare and safety of all our players and staff is at the centre of everything we do. That is why, in partnership with our venue and coaching partners, we are continually reviewing our operational processes and procedures against national and local guidance to ensure that we will be able to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone involved in our camps.

Taunton School has over 600 full-time students during term time. As you would expect, each school already has robust facilities, procedures and infrastructure for dealing with Covid-19.

Together with Taunton School we are preparing to put the following procedures and protocols in place:

  • Contactless check-in and collection processes

  • Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the camp in various locations

  • COVID secure venues with regular deep cleaning procedures of bedrooms and communal areas

  • One-way systems throughout venue and application of 1m+ social distancing rule

  • All activities delivered to groups of 15 maximum

  • Exclusively allocated staff members for each subgroup

  • Staggered scheduling for meals and activities with adequate changeover times where necessary

  • Adapted activities to maximise outdoor space and increase distancing

  • Promotion of symptom awareness and personal hygiene

  • Increased hand-washing and sanitising between each session and throughout the day

  • Smaller groups and maximum of 40 children in residential camps
